(Part Eight.)

Kalinka Blue, Green, White, Red, Violet, and Black in "My Christmas Letter, Part Two"

Dear everyone,

I'm really sorry things got so out of hand. I guess I had no control over it, though. But, when I think about it, as grim as everything seemed - it really did bring everyone closer together and that made me happy. I do not have much more to say currently; I am simply relieved that everyone is okay!

Love,
Kalinka Blue.

Hey guys!!!

Wow! Everyone sure was happy to see that Marr was alive! I am glad that he is okay. But, almost as soon as he got in the door - he just smiled and said, "now are we going to have a Christmas party or what?" Imagine! We all thought that he was dead and here he was to bring the party back to life! We did have a Christmas party after that. Everyone was so happy that Marr was alive. Everyone gave each other such wonderful gifts too!
"So Jesse, I got this for you," Kalinka Blue smiled to herself.
"Oh? What is it?" Jesse seemed really surprised!
And then, for a minute, nobody said anything as they waited for Jesse to open her gift.
"A GREEN WIG!!! WOW!!!"
We all laughed, because Jesse seemed happy about it.
I even got to give a gift to someone! I was trying all year to get it and I hope it made him happy! I was kind of sad because, when I gave it to him, no one else had given him a gift yet.
"Trevirn," I said. My voice was shaking because I was so nervous at giving it to him! "I want you to have this."
He looked really surprised, but he opened it anyway. He smiled for a minute then turned towards me and said, "wow, thank you. This is what I've always wanted."
It was a Santa hat. I thought that he would like it because he really liked Christmas and now he could be reminded of it all year!
So that was my Christmas. I hope next Christmas is as fun and eventful!

Happy Christmas again!
Kalinka Green.

To those who are still awake,

Well, I couldn't believe this. Someone actually got me a gift. I was so tired from the ordeal tonight, but I really did want to know what it was. It was from my friend Ami, who no one at the party really knew, but she said she didn't mind that when I invited her. She was insistant on meeting new friends, so I didn't mind. Everyone seemed to get along well with her anyway. So there was no problem. In fact, she brought chocolate which I couldn't really resist - and so I ended up not wanting to sleep for awhile.
Anyway, I opened the gift as soon as I got it. It was a pillow with a cat on it. I got her a gift, too. It was a doll of her as a boxer. I didn't know at all what to get her at first but, in the end, a trip to a toy store showed me that maybe she is more famous than I thought. She seemed to like it, though. Of course, I am basing this on the fact that running around in a circle screaming "hooray!" means happiness.
But, for now, I think I am going to try out that new pillow of mine.

To all, a good night,
Kalinka White.

Everyone,

I just want you to know that, when after heard Marr's story, I did what I could to find the guy in the van and make him pay for what he had tried to do. In a festive style, of course. Everyone thinks I'm obsessed with death. I don't think strangling a presents-thief with tinsel is obsession. Anyway, it turns out that I had nothing to do. Evidently, Kylaia had seen that the whole thing was going to happen - but didn't do anything immediately. However, she left for a short period of time near sunrise and it was then that she threw the man who stole the presents into a cage that she keeps in her basement. Now, she claims she feeds him bananas.
Excuse me but I have to go ask her more about her bizarre non-murdering toture methods,
Kalinka Red.

Companions,

And once again, a happy ending has been found through the efforts of everyone involved. I am glad about that. I was so glad, in fact, that I wrote a poem as my Christmas gift to everyone.

"It snowed.

It snowed, but
we kept vigil and
held hands.

He was alive,
he was -
there could not
have been another
way."

To tell the truth, it was short and I made it up as I went along. Everyone kind of smiled and nodded at it, but one person really seemed to enjoy it. I noticed that Joneus' eyes glazed over as I was reading it. I'm not sure if that was because it confused him or not but I have already secretly planned to give him a written copy of this in the near future. I hope he enjoys it.

I hope you all have a prosperous New Year,
- Kalinka Violet.

This is what Christmas means to me.

A group of friends brought together not by foolishly pretending to like each other because of the day it says on the calendar. No, a group of friends whose love has just been freshly tested by the reminder that all of them, no matter how strong or smart, is mortal and that there truly is no better time to love sincerely than simply the moment at hand. That's what Christmas is to me. The smiles, now that they know what could have happened, are genuine. They know that things could have ended much worse. We all know that it could have been any one of us lost in that snowstorm. I know that I felt the snow on my face, I heard the wind in my eyes and I knew the overpowering urge to simply give up. And, were I alone, I would have.
But I wasn't. And that's what I learned. None of us needs to be alone. We are stronger when we are together. We are stronger when we let our feelings for each other show through above all else. We are stronger when we do not pretend to love, but when we actually allow ourselves to forget ourselves and give in to an honest sort of love that is all-encompassing, even for a moment. All encompassing so that, like a snowstorm, it swallows you completely. But, unlike a blizzard, it never blinds or deafens you but, rather, it illuminates everything around you.
It lights the path so that all the flickering lights we see in the snowstorms of our lives grow and change and expand until we can see only light in all the things. Nothing but light.

Light.
-Kalinka Black.

There we go. The epilogue, as promised. I couldn't leave you all without a happy ending this time!

It seems that even Kalinka Black has fallen for Marr Vell. Which is weird, when you think about it, because I don't remember doing ANYTHING particularly huge to "win" her affection. I was thinking of that for a while and I think that I understand why that is. I didn't have to impress her, that's not what Kalinka wanted from someone in a relationship. I can only hope that I can remember that and keep her happy.

*clears throte* What is she a prise you have to "win" her affection?

Whoever this is missed the point, I think. It was a reference to a story and probably in response to some of the advances that people have made on me in the attempts of "winning" my affection. Not naming names here, but I think the moral of the story is that you don't have to go over the top and go out of your way to impress me because that's fake. Well, not so much me as a character in a story. Hmm.

Anyway, be happy! It's Christmas!
